Rotunda Retreat

This project focused on updating a charming Florida home into a welcoming Airbnb retreat—on a tight timeline and with minimal demolition. Collaborating remotely with the homeowners, I provided design guidance to achieve a transformation that aligned perfectly with their vision. Situated on a canal lined with palm trees, the home called for a beach-inspired aesthetic that felt balanced and understated rather than overly thematic.

To create a warm, inviting atmosphere, I recommended a neutral yet cozy main paint color complemented by a calming blue-green accent. This subtle palette reflected the serene coastal surroundings and brought a sense of tranquility to the interiors. To enhance the design's texture and depth, I incorporated materials such as wicker, linen, and jute, which added a touch of natural elegance and visual interest.

Flooring, lighting, rugs, and furniture pieces were thoughtfully selected to tie the spaces together while remaining clean, functional, and easy to maintain for guests. The overall design blends effortless charm with practicality, making it an ideal setting for relaxing, socializing, and enjoying the Florida lifestyle.

This project is a true example of how remote collaboration can deliver great results with a quick turnaround, giving the homeowners a fully refreshed space ready to delight visitors and generate lasting memories.
